The Rare Instance of Real-Live Metamorphosis

This woman I know, she said to me: “Carson, there are almost no women in your stories.” So I say: “That seems to be the case, yeah.” And now she responds: “Well, why is that?” To which question I can only shrug and make a face as communicates my stupefaction, like. By which gesture she becomes visibly annoyed — and, as a result of which or not, transforms her whole self into a giant hawk and flies away.

Unfortunate, that last part: had she remained a human, I could’ve counted her as a woman for my story. Now the authorities in charge won’t allow it.
